Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking professional Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations across the UK. You will protect people, property and stock while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, mobile role.

The role requires an SIA license, enhanced DBS/BS7858 clearance, Right to Work in the UK, a full driving licence and the ability to travel between sites. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.
• Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Experience in retail security or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across store floors and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and support loss prevention.
• Produce accurate incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely.
• Ensure health & safety and client procedures are followed.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
