Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations across Peterborough and surrounding areas. You will deter theft, protect people and stock, and deliver friendly customer service as a mobile officer covering different stores.

Ideal candidates have a valid SIA licence, right to work in the UK, a DBS/BS7858 check, a UK driving licence, and experience in retail security or customer-facing roles.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and DBS/BS7858 clearance required.
• SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) with relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Con conduct regular patrols across store areas.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policy and law.
• Liaise with store management to address risks.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and client procedures.
• Travel between sites and support wider security ops.
