Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to cover Glasgow-area sites on a 4 on/4 off pattern. You will respond to alarms, patrol sites, lock/unlock premises, and conduct inspections to maintain security and insurance compliance.

You will need the right to work in the UK, a valid SIA licence, and BS7858/DBS clearance. A full UK driving licence and excellent communication are essential to succeed on this role.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance.
• Must hold a valid SIA Licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence with a clean record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible hours including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to alarm activations and conduct thorough site investigations per procedures.
• Perform regular mobile patrols, security checks and inspections across locations.
• Complete locking/unlocking procedures and ensure premises are secured.
• Conduct vacant property inspections to ensure security and insurance compliance.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorised access and anti-social behaviour.
• Accurately complete incident reports and patrol records.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues and the Control Room with timely updates.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive stakeholder relationships.
