Mobile Remedial Electrician (Commercial / Industrial Property Maintenance)

Salary - Up to £38k Basic + Overtime and Shift Allowance + Fully Expensed Company Van + Benefits

Location - Bath - Bristol - Taunton (Regional coverage within 50 Miles Radius)

Hours - Various (premium rates paid for unsocial working hours)

Our client is one of the largest companies in the UK, providing specialist electrical testing services to occupied premises. Their work includes ensuring that all fixed wiring, switchgear, or control equipment in schools, hospitals, office blocks, retail units, or industrial units meet safety regulations.

Following inspections by their Test & Inspection Engineers, Electricians are responsible for completing upgrades and repairs. The role offers variety, such as replacing breakers or upgrading switches in large industrial units. Flexibility and quick thinking are essential.

The team of field electricians are vital to the company's operations and are considered the face of the organization.

These are permanent positions.

You will receive a fully expensed company van, excellent benefits, and a competitive salary. Plenty of work and overtime are available for those interested.

The role:

Our client seeks an experienced Electrician to support Maintenance and Repairs in the Uxbridge area. Work is planned in advance and coordinated via the Operations Planning team based at Head Office in West Yorkshire. You will work with a dedicated works coordinator who will support you through regular communication and liaising with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical remedial works in commercial and industrial environments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience.
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
• NVQ Level 3.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
