Mobile Remedial Electrician (Commercial / Industrial Property Maintenance)

Salary: Up to GBP38k Basic + Overtime and Shift Allowance + Fully Expensed Company Van + Benefits

Location: Bath - Bristol - Taunton (Regional coverage within 50 Miles Radius)

Hours: Various (premium rates paid for unsocial working hours)

Our client is one of the largest companies in the UK, providing specialist electrical testing services to occupied premises such as schools, hospitals, office blocks, retail units, and industrial units. Their goal is to ensure all fixed wiring, switchgear, or control equipment meet regulations and are safe to use.

Following inspections by their Test & Inspection Engineers, Electricians are responsible for completing necessary upgrades and repairs. The role offers variety, from replacing breakers to upgrading switches in large industrial units. Flexibility and quick thinking are essential.

The field electricians are vital to the company's success, serving as the face of the organization.

This is a permanent position with a fully expenses-paid company van, excellent benefits, and competitive salary. Plenty of work and overtime are available for those interested.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to support our Maintenance and Repairs team covering Uxbridge and surrounding areas. Work is planned in advance and coordinated via our Operations Planning team based at Head Office in West Yorkshire. You will work with a dedicated works coordinator, who will support you through regular communication and liaising with customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct electrical remedial works in commercial and industrial environments.
  2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
  3. Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
  4. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
  5. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  2. City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing.
  3. NVQ Level 3.
  4. 18th Edition.
  5. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards.
  6. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  9. Valid UK driving license (or equivalent, depending on location).
