Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Regional Technical Supervisor to coordinate a small team in Scotland, covering the Central Belt between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The role blends office duties with hands-on field work and requires strong PPM oversight and safety discipline.

You will monitor site safety, ensure L8 logbooks are up to date, and support helpdesk allocations while ensuring high service standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical discipline qualification validated by City and Guilds or NVQ.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PPMs and safety visits, assist engineers on site.
• Review job sheets for accuracy, procurement, and quotations.
• Ensure vehicle and site safety checks are completed and documented.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Regional Technical Supervisor to join our team in Scotland. The mobile role will cover the Central Belt Between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

• Manage a team of 5 Technicians and 1 Risk Assessor
• The role will be a 50/50 split of office work/working on the tools
• Carry out PPMs at a higher level, assisting Engineers with PPMs and complete safety visits for all Engineers
• Complete van and health & safety checks
• Review all job sheets in timely manner for accuracy, legibility, procurement, (materials and quotations) problem solving
• Support Helpdesk with allocating calls to the correct engineers for your sites
• Supervise availability of engineering staff to attend training courses in line with requirements
• Ensure all site L8 log books are in date and accurate

Who are we looking for?

• City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline. Either in Plumbing or Heating/Ventilation
• Post qualification experience
• Extensive knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition), its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and British Standards where applicable
• Good knowledge of Closed Systems to be able to size and quote for necessary remedial works following initial onsite technical analysis of a closed system
• Valid driving licence

This role includes a DS Standard therefore ability to pass is essential.
