Job summary

Equans is seeking an HVAC Contract Manager (mobile) for the N/W Yorkshire area. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week, a competitive salary, car or car allowance, bonus and benefits package.

You will oversee financials (P&L, WIP, debt), ensure SHEQ compliance, manage risks with RAMS and PPE, and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating mobile teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Technical HVAC background with qualifications.
• Experience in Facilities Management and contract management.
• Knowledge of building services and relevant legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for financials of contracts including P&L, WIP and debt.
• Manage client service delivery across multiple locations to ensure resources work collaboratively.
• Set and monitor SLAs and KPIs; drive value for stakeholders.
• Plan and monitor PPM schedules and reactive works with mobile teams.
• Review contract performance monthly with Regional Manager and plan improvements.
• Deliver training and corporate briefings; lead negotiations and business improvements.

Job description

Equans is looking for an HVAC Contract Manager (mobile) to join our team in N/W Yorkshire on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package. What will you deliver?

• Full accountability for the financial aspects of contracts/accounts including P&L. WIP and Debt - Profitability is a main driver within this post to ensure we are effective and efficient on profit returns to the Business Unit.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups.
• Ensure that all risks relating to (SHEQ) safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of RAMS, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, clients and end users.
• Develop effective working relationships with operational personnel, business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors to improve contractual operational performance.
• Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with the Client and related Client organisations.
• Manage the client service delivery, which is spread over a number of locations, by ensuring all available resources work in a collaborative manner.
• Agree and maintain a clear business plan for the appointed contract.
• Set, monitor and control SLA's and KPI's seeking opportunities to provide added value across the delivery stakeholders.
• Ensure mobile personnel manage the contract to the agreed SLA's and KPI's as they apply to technical and related services.
• Work with the mobile teams in planning, implementing and monitoring the standards of all works relating to the PPM schedule and all reactive works.
• Review contract performance monthly with the Regional Manager and agree future plans.
• Develop and monitor direct reports through training and regular reviews.
• Deliver training and corporate briefings.
• Drive successful contract negotiations and business improvement initiatives.

Who are we looking for?

• Technical Background with supporting HVAC qualifications. NVQ Refrigeration level 3 or Equivalent HVAC qualification.
• H&S Qualification /M&E Qualifications. Previous contract management experience.
• Good knowledge of building services and legislation.
• Good experience and track record in working in Facilities Management.
• Must have the ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances.
• Technical background essential with Asbestos awareness.
• Water Systems and Legionella Control - HSG274.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
• Experience of using a CAFM system.
• Computer literate.
• Good communicator with the clients, other service partners and suppliers.
• Able to deal diplomatically with the client's demanding personnel.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Must have a full clean driver's licence.
