Job summary

SUEZ is seeking an on-site operative in Manchester to support our site operations and ensure high standards of material recovery. You will engage with the public, guide site visitors, and operate mobile plant as required.

The role requires a good level of customer service, teamwork, and a full driving license. Training will be provided for mobile plant and you may cover holidays or sick days as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

• What you will need is a good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Full Driving License is required.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work to cover holiday and sick days if required.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site to maximise material recovery.
• Operate mobile plant as part of site activities.
• Maintain accurate records for removal of materials from the site.
• Book loads with the relevant person to ensure space for segregation and storage.
• Keep the site tidy within areas of responsibility.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare duties are met for employees and others.
• Co-operate with SUEZ and colleagues to comply with permits, legislation and policies.
• Carry out any other duties reasonably requested within the job scope.
