Job summary

At SUEZ in the United Kingdom, we are seeking a team player to support site operations. You will assist the public in using the site to maximise material recovery, operate mobile plant, and maintain accurate site records.

The role requires a full driving license, a flexible approach to cover holidays and sick days, and a commitment to health, safety and team collaboration. Training may be provided to cover mobile plant use.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Mobile Plant.
  • Maintain accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Coordinate exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, ensuring the site has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Maintain a tidy site within areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure SUEZ complies with health, safety and welfare duties for employees and others affected by actions or omissions.
  • Co-operate with SUEZ and other employees to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

  • A flexible approach is required
  • Operating Mobile Plant
  • Full driving license is required
  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
  • Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
  • Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
  • Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

What you will need is:
  • A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
  • Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • Full Driving License

Salary and working conditions
  • Salary £30,633.77 per annum / £15.25 per hour
  • Working a 4 On 4 Off shift pattern
  • Start/finish times: 10.5 hours per shift in Winter, between 07.45 hrs-18:15 hrs, then 12.5 hours per shift in Summer between 07.45 hrs-20:15 hrs.
  • Working 38.5 per week (pro rata) - Monday to Sunday
  • Full PPE provided
