Job summary

SUEZ is recruiting for a site operative to deliver high standards of customer service on our recycling site. You will assist the public on how to use the site to maximise material recovery and help keep the site safe and efficient.

A flexible approach and willingness to cover holidays are essential. Ideally you will have some mobile plant experience, a full driving licence, and be a team player capable of working with colleagues to maintain records, book loads, and comply with health and safety

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service on site and help the public maximise material recovery.
• Operate mobile plant when required.
• Maintain accurate site records and manage container bookings.
• Keep the site tidy and compliant with health and safety policies.
• Co-operate with colleagues to meet site permit and legislation.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• A flexible approach is required
• Operating Mobile Plant
• Full driving licenseis required
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

What you will need is:

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
• Full Driving License
