Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a site team member to support public operations and materials recovery at our UK site. You will advise visitors, operate mobile plant where trained, and maintain accurate records while promoting safe, compliant site practices.

The role requires a flexible approach to cover holidays and sickness and a full driving licence. A supportive team environment and opportunities for training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and advise the public on site usage to maximise material recovery.
• Operate mobile plant as required and maintain accurate site records.
• Coordinate container exchanges and bookings to ensure space for materials.
• Keep the site tidy within own area and ensure health, safety and welfare compliance.
• Work with SUEZ and other staff to comply with permits, legislation and procedures.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of the role as reasonably required.

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• A flexible approach is required
• Operating Mobile Plant
• Full driving licenseis required
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

What you will need is:

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
• Full Driving License
