Job summary

Allstaff is seeking a Mobile Pump Field Service Workshop Engineer to join our service team in Castleford. The role focuses on de-contamination, inspection, assembly, and testing of diesel pumps, with a 37.5 hour week and a permanent contract.

You will read engineering drawings, fault-find, manage spare parts, and drive a full license. Prior mechanical or electrical apprenticeship and experience with pumps are essential.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or time served in mechanical or electrical work.
• Experience with diesel pump sets and pumps.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection.
• Dismantling, inspection and reporting or pump condition.
• Assembly and testing of pumps.
• Identification of spare parts.
• Electrical inspection of pumps.
• Diesel pumpset repair and maintenance.
• Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required.

Salary: £40,000

Location: Castleford

Type of Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hour working week – Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 4.45pm, Friday – 8.15am – 1.45pm

Responsibilities of the Mobile Pump Field Service Workshop Engineer

Requirements for a successful Mobile Pump Field Service Workshop Engineer

• Electric motor & control equipment experience
• Previous experience of pumps & rotating equipment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Full driving license
• Experience in Diesel pump sets
• Fault finding skills
