Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment Ltd in Castleford is seeking a Mobile Pump Field Service Workshop Engineer for a full-time permanent role with a £40,000 salary. The position covers a 37.5 hour week: Mon-Thu 8.15am-4.45pm, Fri 8.15am-1.45pm, in Castleford.

You will be responsible for de-contamination, dismantling and inspecting pump units, assembling and testing pumps, identifying spare parts and performing electrical inspections. Diesel pump experience and a full driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship completed or time served.
• Experience with electric motors & control equipment.
• Experience with pumps & rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Full driving license.
• Experience with diesel pump sets.
• Fault finding skills.

Responsibilities

• De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection.
• Dismantling, inspection and reporting on pump condition.
• Assembly and testing of pumps.
• Identification of spare parts.
• Electrical inspection of pumps.
• Diesel pumpset repair and maintenance.
• Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required.
