Job summary

Panda is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to support our waste management operations in the East Midlands. You will maintain, service and repair a range of mobile and static plant machinery on a busy site, including loaders, conveyors and balers.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical understanding, and a proactive attitude to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar role.
• Experience in waste management or heavy industry.
• Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical components and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic systems and repair to minimise downtime.
• Maintain electrical looms and wiring across plant machinery.
• Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify faults.
• Keep maintenance records and report on equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve availability.
• Ensure all work adheres to health and safety procedures.
• Report hazards promptly and support a safe working environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
