Job summary

Panda is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our waste management operations. You will maintain, service and repair a range of plant equipment, including loaders, compactors, conveyors, shredders and balers, on a busy site.

We value hands-on diagnostic ability, strong mechanical knowledge, and experience with hydraulic systems and electrical looms. You will work with the operations and engineering teams to maximise equipment reliability while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar.
• Experience in waste management or heavy industry.
• Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic systems and perform repairs.
• Maintain electrical looms, wiring and connections across plant machinery.
• Carry out full mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify faults and complete repairs.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and report on equipment performance.
