Job summary

Panda Ireland is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our waste management site in Leeds. You will maintain, service and repair a range of plant machinery including loaders, compactors, conveyors and shredders.

Strong hydraulic, electrical and diagnostic abilities are essential, with a proactive safety mindset and a focus on reliability. This full-time, on-site role collaborates with operations and engineering teams to maximise equipment availability and site performance while following

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge for plant equipment
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical components
• Demonstrated fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on loaders, conveyors, shredders, balers and picking lines
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic systems and complete timely repairs to minimise downtime
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical looms, wiring and connections across plant machinery
• Carry out full mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify faults and complete repairs
• Keep maintenance records up to date and report on performance and recurring issues
• Support equipment availability and site performance with operations and engineering teams
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures
• Report hazards and incidents promptly and support a safe working environment
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
