Panda is a leading waste management company seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to maintain and repair a wide range of plant machinery on site. You will diagnose faults, service loaders, balers, conveyors, shredders and other equipment, ensuring reliability and safety across busy operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Maintenance Fitter or similar.
• Experience in waste management, recycling, construction or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, looms and mechanical components.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Proactive attitude with safety, reliability and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic systems and complete timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain, install and troubleshoot electrical looms and wiring across plant machinery.
• Conduct full mechanical and electrical diagnostics to identify faults and repair.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and report on equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support availability.
• Ensure all work aligns with health and safety procedures.
• Report hazards, defects or incidents promptly.
