Job summary

Shifts include day, night, and rotation, with training available to operate additional equipment and progression opportunities. You will be paid £16.90 per hour with overtime at time and a half.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site.

Loading Shovel Driver

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire (CV21)

Pay: £16.90 per hour

Overtime: Paid at time and a half

IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE

Shift Pattern

• Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am
• Rotation: 4 days on, 2 days off, 4 nights on, 6 days off
• Additional cover shifts available, paid at time and a half

Job Overview

Simple Recruitment is currently recruiting Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy recycling facility in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced plant operators looking for ongoing, long-term work with a well-established recycling operation. This is a varied role and is not solely operating mobile plant. Successful candidates will also be expected to support the wider site operation by carrying out general housekeeping duties, keeping work areas clean and safe, and assisting with other operational tasks as required. You will initially operate the plant you are licensed for, with the opportunity to receive training on additional plant and machinery as part of your development.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site.

• Assist with sorting recyclable materials and removing contamination where required.
• Support the loading, unloading and movement of materials around the site.
• Work as part of the wider operations team and assist with additional site duties as required.
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects or safety concerns.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental and site procedures at all times.
• Wear and maintain all issued PPE correctly.
• Work efficiently to help achieve production and recycling targets.

We're looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience operating mobile plant.
• Must have a valid Loading Shovel License
• Are willing to carry out a variety of site duties, not just plant operation.
• Are happy to undertake training on additional plant and machinery.
• Can work rotating day and night shifts.
• Have a good understanding of health and safety.
• Are reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
