Job summary

Smart Solutions in Leatherhead is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to safely operate mobile plant machinery at a busy recycling facility. You will handle the 360 Grab and Loading Shovel, move recyclable materials, perform daily checks and uphold strict safety standards on site.

The role requires reliable, punctual, and self‑driven work with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Ongoing full‑time opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid NPORS, CPCS or recognised in‑house plant operator qualification.
• Experience operating mobile plant machinery.
• Experience in recycling, waste management, quarry or industrial environment preferred.
• Good understanding of site safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and safety‑conscious approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 360 Grab and Loading Shovel to process, move and load recyclable materials.
• Safely operate site vehicles and mobile plant equipment.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure all machinery is operated in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Support day‑to‑day running of the recycling facility.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with general site duties when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.

Pay Rate: £14.78 per hour
Overtime: Available at £22.17 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

Mobile Plant Operator – Leatherhead

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy recycling facility based in Leatherhead (KT22).

This is a hands‑on, multi‑skilled role involving the safe operation of mobile plant machinery, including 360 Grab and Loading Shovel equipment, to support the processing and movement of recyclable materials on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery safely, efficiently and in line with site procedures, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
