Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Plant Fitter for roles across the Midlands and East England. The successful candidate will service and maintain a range of excavators, ADTs, Dozers, Telehandlers, and other plant equipment, ensuring reliability and safety in line with manufacturers' schedules.

You will monitor fluids, perform preventive maintenance, report faults, and assist with minor installations or upgrades as the project needs grow; a full driving licence and UK right-to-work

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in plant maintenance (or working towards).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of construction equipment per manufacturer's schedule.
• Lubricant and fluid monitoring and replenishment.
• Preventative maintenance and monitoring.
• Fault reporting and documentation.
• Prepare plant for transfer or redeployment; fit replacement parts.
• Collaborate with team on larger maintenance tasks.
• Potential involvement with GPS systems and related tech as the role develops.

£15.50 - £18.50 + Overtime (1.5x)

Job Purpose:

As a Mobile Plant Fitter you will be servicing and maintaining a vast range of construction and earthmoving equipment, the role will involve supporting the wider, major projects team by completing schedule / routine services on a range of excavators, ADT's, Dozers, Telehandlers, Compaction & Agricultural equipment, as well as preventive maintenance and consumable fitting and replacement. The role of the Mobile Plant Engineer will thrive with someone who is able to self-manage and has customer facing abilities.

Main Responsibilities of a Mobile Plant Fitter:

• The routine servicing of construction equipment in line with manufacturers schedule and specification.
• Regular Lubricant and fluid monitoring and replenishment.
• Preventative maintenance / monitoring.
• Fault reporting.
• Cleaning, inspecting and preparing plant for transfer or redeployment
• Fitting replacement parts.
• Working alongside other team members on larger maintenance / repair tasks.
• Together with the above, there will be an opportunity to work with a digital division in assisting installation of GPS Systems, human form recognition cameras, height and slew restrictors and any other innovations as the role develops. Product support and training will be provided as required.

A good Mobile Plant Fitter will have:

• Good mechanical knowledge
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience of plant and construction equipment and hydraulic systems
• Experience of conduction routine maintenance to a required level and standard
• Understanding of Risk assessments and method statements
• Proactive and self-motivated

Essential Requirements and qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in plant maintenance (or working towards.)
• Right to work in the UK
