Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter for sites around St Austell. You will service, maintain and repair construction and agricultural machinery, visiting customer sites and sometimes working from a workshop for support.

Role offers overtime (time-and-a-half), a company van and progression opportunities within a well-established business. A full UK driving licence is required, with on-going training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience working with construction or agricultural machinery.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics.
• Ability to work independently and manage breakdowns.
• Full UK driving licence; engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural machinery.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites.
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Identifying further repair requirements and discussing these with customers.
• Completing service documentation and job sheets.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Providing professional customer service.

Mobile Plant Fitter - St Austell | Up to £41,000 + Overtime + Van

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business covering St Austell and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a varied field-based role, with ongoing training, good benefits and long-term development.

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you'll visit customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs across a range of construction and agricultural machinery. You'll also have workshop support when required and the opportunity to broaden your technical experience.
