Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established Hertfordshire-based team. You will travel to customer sites, service and repair construction and agricultural plant machinery, and contribute to preventative maintenance.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with overtime at time-and-a-half, a company van and fuel card, plus ongoing training and genuine long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Plant Fitter or Agricultural Engineer
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding ability
• Experience on construction or agricultural machinery
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics
• Independent fault diagnosis of equipment faults
• Full UK driving licence
• Engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural plant machinery
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service

Mobile Plant Fitter - Hertfordshire | £31,000-£41,000 + Overtime + Van

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business supporting customers across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.

Key Responsibilities
