Job summary

An innovative and expanding organization is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Maidstone to manage service and repairs of industrial compactors. The role involves fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems, utilizing various tools, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, service, and PPMs on industrial compactors in waste management.
• Use manual, electrical, hydraulic, and hot working tools.
• Fault find on electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Manage time effectively, update reports, and order parts.
• Follow health and safety procedures.

About the Role

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 (base) with OTE £42,000-£60,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30, door-to-door paid, overtime at 1.5x

Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Client: A rapidly expanding, innovative organization in Wiltshire supporting growth in the engineering team.

Package includes: 28 days leave + 1 day/year up to 25 days, laptop, company vehicle, fuel card, pension, training, occasional overnight stays, overtime pay, weekend work options, and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Attend breakdowns, service, and PPMs on industrial compactors in waste management.
• Use manual, electrical, hydraulic, and hot working tools.
• Fault find on electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Manage time effectively, update reports, and order parts.
• Follow health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience in electrical, mechanical fault finding, repair, and servicing.
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding (advantageous).
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems; roles include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, etc.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, fault finding, and electrical work.
• Full UK driver’s license.
