Responsibilities

They're growing, and they need a Mobile Plant Engineer who can keep their fleet of excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and more, running hard for their clients.

• Travelling to client sites to diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults across a range of plant machinery
• Carrying out preventative maintenance so equipment stays safe, compliant, and productive
• Keeping your van stocked, organised, and ready to go
• Building genuine relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable service
• Keeping accurate job sheets and parts records — because good engineers document their work

Is this you?

• NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Solid hands‑on experience with plant machinery — ideally from plant hire or construction
• You can diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults without being told exactly where to look
• You manage your own time and workload without needing someone standing over you
• You hold a clean, valid UK driving licence
• You're safety-conscious, proactive, and know how to talk to a client without making them feel like a number
