The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a permanent, full-time support worker on the ECL team to provide person-centred care for older people with reduced mobility, Alzheimer’s, dementia or Parkinson’s in a specialist day service.

You will plan and deliver tailored activities, encourage social interaction both on-site and in the community, and travel across Essex for training and to support other centres.

Qualificações

• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Empathetic approach to care.
• Basic IT skills.
• Proactive approach, able to work on own initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver specialist, person-centred support to older people with decreased mobility, Alzheimer's, dementia or Parkinson's.
• Plan and deliver tailored activities that maintain independence.
• Encourage social interaction through on-site and community-based activities.
• Provide personal care as required.
• Travel across Essex to attend training, work at other centres and support people in the community.
