Job summary

OH Medical is recruiting for a Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician to deliver health surveillance and workplace wellbeing services across multiple sites. The role involves regional travel with nationwide travel on occasion and driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).

The position is based in Birmingham, full-time (37.5 hours), with a salary of £25,000-£27,000 plus benefits, a contributory pension, life assurance, and generous annual leave. Training and ongoing mentoring are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Occupational Health Technician or Healthcare professional.
• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Aged 21+ for vehicle insurance purposes.
• Ability to provide a valid driving licence share code.
• Experience completing baseline health measurements.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home regularly.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health surveillance including audiometry and spirometry.
• Complete baseline health screening (BP, height, weight, urinalysis).
• Record confidential information in Occupational Health records.
• Gather biometric data to support clinical decisions.
• Support Occupational Health Nurses and Physicians.
• Ensure equipment is clean, serviced, and fit for purpose.
• Support health promotion and workplace wellbeing activities.
• Drive and operate a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU).
• Travel regularly and stay away from home during weeks.
