Job summary
Occupational Health Staffing Limited in Birmingham is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to drive a mobile medical unit (MMU) and perform health surveillance tests at client sites across the region.
The role requires travel with overnight stays, a 3-week induction and ongoing mentoring. You must hold a manual UK driving licence and drive your own vehicle while the van is prepared. Salary up to £27,000 plus benefits.
Qualifications
- Graduates with a degree in sports science, seeking first role in healthcare, with experience performing baseline measurements.
- Experience in health surveillance measurements (audiometry, spirometry, height/weight/BMI, BP, urinalysis, drug & alcohol testing).
- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional nationwide travel and overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Operate a mobile medical unit (MMU) across client sites.
- Perform health surveillance measurements: audiometry, spirometry, height, weight, BMI, BP, urinalysis, drug & alcohol testing.
- Travel to client sites with overnight stays as required.
- Park the mobile unit at or near your home address.
- Review the diary six weeks in advance.
- Receive £30 subsistence for each night away (paid weekly).
- Access Premier Inn account for booking.
- Fuel card issued.
