Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland seeks a mobile Maintenance Technician to cover North East and North West England, 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday. You’ll deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems, ensuring tasks meet SLAs.

This role requires a driving licence, CSCS card, and NVQ or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services, with safety documentation and site compliance experience. You’ll log service sheets and oversee contractor work to standards.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Current, valid driving licence.
• NVQ or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services with proven maintenance experience.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of First Aid.
• IT literate with basic Excel and Microsoft products.

About The Role

Days of Working: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30

This is a mobile role covering North East and North West England.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
• Ensure all delegated reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota

Essential Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• Must have a current, valid driving licence.
• NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services along with proven maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are always followed.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of First Aid
• IT Literate - Basic understanding of Excel & Microsoft products
