Job description

Skanska Building Services provides complete Facilities Management of schools, colleges, and universities throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.

The team is looking for a Mobile Multiskilled Engineer to join the team on one of our projects in Bristol. The purpose of the role will be to ensure that Building Services operational delivery performance is in line with contract obligations and Skanska business processes. Services to be delivered with high levels of customer satisfaction and ensuring that all sites remain compliant.

What you'll do:
  • Become AP for your site or sites if required
  • Conduct PPM and planned maintenance, response, and fault analysis
  • Carry out fault finding and plant adjustments, check and inspect electrical/mechanical services, plant, and systems, and complete maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification
  • Implement & comply with the procedures as detailed in the company’s Health & Safety Policies, Statutory obligations and in accordance with the Skanska IFE (Injury Free Environment)
  • Carry out general duties which require multi-skilled discipline, including but not limited to re-lamping luminaires, fault finding to electrical wiring systems, motors, generators, lighting systems, chillers, AHUs along with cleaning of foul water systems, drains, inspections, and repair of all M&E systems such as extract and supply air ductwork systems, plumbing, and heating systems
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Electrical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ’A’ and ’B or equivalent (18th edition minimum)
  • BMS experience (but not essential)
  • HVAC Knowledge/Skills would be beneficial
  • Heating and plumbing Knowledge/Skills would be beneficial
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with good verbal and written communications
