Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to join our team across South Wales and the South West on a permanent basis. This full-time role involves 40 hours per week and a company vehicle, with a competitive salary and benefits.

The majority of work will be in South Wales and surrounding areas, with occasional contracts in Bristol. You will maintain and repair heating and hot water systems, carry out installations, and manage required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised industry qualification and prior plumbing experience.
• Plumbing qualifications are essential for this role.
• C&G Level 2 in Plumbing or Gas is required; Level 3 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbing.
• Take part in installation work and complete appropriate Certification.
• Manage paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown tasks and submit to contract administrator.
• Be proactive in highlighting improvements and recording plant failures in CAFM.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to join our team working across South Wales and the South West on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. The majority of the work will be based in South Wales and the surrounding areas whilst also covering contracts in Bristol occasionally.

What will you deliver?

Working on the following equipment but not limited to:

• Associated Gas Equipment
• Water Heaters
• Water Supply etc.
• Maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbing
• Carry out Installation work and complete appropriate Certification
• Cover numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stellantis, Guide Dogs, IOPC, ITV etc.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed
• Be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made
• Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager
• This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system
• Take part in the on call rota

Who are you?

• A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential
• Appropriate Plumbing Qualifications essential
• C&G Level 2 in Plumbing or Gas. Ideally Level 3
• Must have a full drivers' licence
• This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential
