Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join the Midlands team on a permanent basis. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week, a company vehicle, and a benefits package.

The role covers a Midlands Mobile contract with the majority of work based in the West Midlands (Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent) and occasional travel to other Midlands sites. You will carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks across commercial settings, with a focus on boilers, heating systems

Qualifications

• Recognised industry qualification and proven experience in maintenance, repair and installation.
• Gas Safe qualifications desirable.
• C&G Level 3 Plumbing or equivalent preferred.
• Must hold a full driving licence and be eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical works in a commercial setting, including boilers, heating systems and domestic water systems.
• Cover multiple sites within the Midlands Midlands Mobile contract (Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent).
• Log start/wait/stop times and notes in real time using the PDA and complete required paperwork promptly.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
