Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to cover East London, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a commercial portfolio. You will service, repair, and install heating systems and plumbing across multiple properties and respond to calls as part of a standby rota.

The role requires a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 and a full clean driving license; DBS check may be required. Salary is up to £46,000 with benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 (recognised trade qualification).
• Full clean driving license.
• DBS check may be required.
• Experience with central heating, water heaters, pipework, unvented hot water, HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant.
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings maintenance.
• Plumbing tasks including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers.
• BMS system monitoring (hot & cold).
• Carry out M&E/Fabric maintenance and update logbooks.
• Work to planned preventive and reactive maintenance regimes.
• Install and replace hot water cylinders, pipework, Boilers; service M&E equipment.

Mobile Mechanical Engineer - Up to £46,000 - Commercial Portfolio - East London

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to be based in the East London area, carrying out planned and reactive commercial building maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings. The successful candidate will currently be a mobile Mechanical Engineer and have a strong understanding of servicing, repairing, and installing heating systems and plumbing works at various commercial properties.

This position would be ideal for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary in the region of up to £46,000 with a potential route into further career progression.

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Logbooks
• Working to Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regimes
• Changing taps/washers
• Install and replace hot water cylinders, pipework, Boilers, Temperature check the repair and servicing of mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment, PPM & reactive.
• Managing priorities within contract constraints.
• Working within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set goals.
• Participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours.
• Providing information for the pricing of M&E works where applicable, for minor projects and maintenance.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00
• 1 in 8 call out

Salary of £46,000

25 days holiday + Bank holiday

• Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 (recognised trade qualification).
• Able to undergo and pass a DBS
• Qualified to work with Central heating, Water heaters, pipe work, Unvented hot water, HVAC systems
• Full clean driving license.
