Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to service a leading supermarket contract in the North Birmingham/Wolverhampton area. The role covers non-technical repairs, minor PPMs, and assisting with planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant across multiple sites.

The position is permanent, offering a 40-hour week, travel time paid after half an hour each way, OT at enhanced rates, a company pension, private healthcare, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification in Carpentry, Plumbing or Roofing is preferred.
• Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial/retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist other Technicians with major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Respond to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess the job requirements to carry out repairs.
• Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repairs within agreed timescales.
• Ensure tools and equipment for minor maintenance are available and serviceable at all times.

Education

Mobile Maintenance Technician

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve carrying out non-technical repairs and minor PPM&'s. You will also assist in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical, and mechanical plant works at various sites within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities – Mobile Maintenance Technician

• Assist other Technicians with any major or minor maintenance work.
• Complete all necessary PPM’s and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and as required.
• Responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
• Prioritising and completing minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.

Qualifications & Experience – Mobile Maintenance Technician

• City & Guilds / NVQ trade qualification (Carpentry / Plumbing / Roofing) – Preferrable
