Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Assistant for a large Facilities Management contract in Greater Manchester (Chadderton). The role covers maintenance tasks, breakdown response, and general estate duties, with a focus on service quality and safety.

Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, plus an on-call rota and travel between sites across Greater Manchester. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role and of PPM completion is desirable.
• Good customer care and people skills.
• Ability to work well in a team or unsupervised.
• Basic fabric handyperson skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Must have a full valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Maintenance Manager.
• Undertake allocated jobs via PDA/mobile devices.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and complete paperwork.
• Carry out general duties including relocations and cleaning across estates.
• Work alone or in a team to maintain the estate.
• Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites.
• Attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements.
• Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break and on-call rota (1 in 8, including weekends).
