Job summary

Leeds City Council is seeking a Mobile Technician to join the Transport & Engineering team at The Arium, Leeds. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs on complex machinery, and carry out remote maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.

The role requires a full driving licence, the ability to work evenings/weekends as needed, and commitment to health and safety. Competitive salary on the SO1 scale and hybrid/work flexibility are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Land Based Service Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Full clean driving licence (minimum B1).

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Carry out remote maintenance, servicing and repairs on specialist machinery and plant.
• Ensure maintenance meets statutory regulations and Council policy.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs and compliance checks.
• Promote health and safety best practices.
