Skilled Careers is seeking a Mobile Lead Engineer in London to lead a team of mobile engineers across a portfolio of commercial sites. This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating daily workloads, PPMs and reactive maintenance, while providing technical support and overseeing complex fault finding.

The ideal candidate will have Level 3 mechanical or electrical qualifications, proven leadership experience in building services, and strong IT skills (CAFM systems and Microsoft Office).

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer ready to take the next step into a hands-on leadership role?

I'm recruiting for a Mobile Lead Engineer to support and coordinate an engineering team covering a portfolio of commercial sites across London.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can lead from the front, provide technical support and help deliver excellent maintenance and customer service.

The Role

• Lead, support and mentor a team of mobile engineers.

• Coordinate daily workloads, PPMs and reactive maintenance.

• Provide hands-on technical support and assist with complex fault finding.

• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance when required.

• Review engineer reports and identify remedial works.

• Support quotations, site surveys and additional works.

• Conduct technical, compliance and quality audits.

• Coordinate subcontractors and provide site cover when needed.

• Support operational reporting and service delivery.

• Maintain high standards of health and safety and compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Recognised Level 3 mechanical or electrical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent.

• Strong multi-skilled building services experience within commercial FM.

• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating engineers.

• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, pumps, motors, heating and ventilation.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance and remedial works.

• Commercial awareness, including quotations, labour and materials.

• Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.

• Good IT skills, including CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to travel between sites across London.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who enjoys supporting a team while remaining technically involved.
