Job summary

Speedy Hire is seeking a Mobile Hoisting Engineer in Birmingham. The role involves installations, inspections, testing, commissioning and on-site repairs at customer sites. The position offers flexible hours, potential away-from-home work and a focus on work-life balance within the Speedy Group.

Qualifications

• Must have a full driving licence and the ability to drive to customer sites.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electrical faults.
• Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER requirements.
• Willingness to perform manual handling when required.
• Role involves working at heights.
• Flexible hours and occasional site/away-from-home work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hoist installations, inspections and testing.

• Support the Hoisting Division's operations at customer sites.

Mobile Hoisting Engineer - Birmingham - Mon Fri 07:30 - 17:00 42 hours per week

This is an exciting time to join our Hoisting Division as we continue to grow. We are looking for a Mobile Hoisting Engineer to join our team, you will be based at our customer sites and play a key role in our operations carrying out a variety of duties from hoist installations, inspections and testing, commissioning to on site repairs and breakdowns.

What You’ll Need

• Full driving licence
• Broad knowledge and experience of mechanical equipment, including mechanical/electrical fault finding and repair of mechanical equipment
• Understanding and applying manufacturer’s technical data, including a broad knowledge of LOLER and PUWER.
• Happy to carry out manual handling tasks when required
• This role will involve working at heights
• Flexible approach to hours, the role will also include working away from home when required
• Support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
