Job summary

Zenith Group is seeking skilled HGV Mobile Service Technicians to service and repair fleets across multiple nationwide locations. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose faults and perform required maintenance to keep vehicles compliant and on the road.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, a full driving licence and a commitment to first‑class service. Overtime opportunities and competitive pay accompany a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience servicing and maintaining LCVs and other commercial vehicles.
• Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to service and repair HGVs in line with legislation.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Complete inspections on engines and electrical components and rectify issues within set timeframes.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on new and used HGVs.

HGV Mobile Service Technicians – Various Locations Nationally

Salaries starting at £46,540

Our hard‑working and highly skilled team of 160+ mobile technicians are the key to the success of our maintenance solution. As a Zenith Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining fleets of HGVs (Trailers including double decks and Trucks) for our industry‑leading customers on their sites. We have a “right first time” approach, valuing quality work and long‑term solutions over quick fixes that will cause our customers more downtime in the long run.

The Job

• Travelling to customer sites servicing and repairing HGVs in accordance with current legislation.
• Fault‑finding and diagnostics.
• Completing inspections on engines and electrical components and rectifying problems within specific timeframes.
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to both new and used HGVs.

Essential Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle (or Heavy) Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining LCVs and other commercial vehicles and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle.
• Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A real commitment to delivering first class service and a sense of pride in your work.

We know how important it is to have the right tools. The diagnostic and tooling equipment on board our 160+ mobile service fleet is industry leading. We are proud to offer the best equipped vans in the marketplace and to provide all our technicians with Milwaukee Audi Volt Battery powered tooling, Training including IRTEC certification, Double Deck certification (if needed) as well as H&S and new product training.

Overtime

We operate 24/7 at many of our customers sites, meaning there is overtime opportunities available. Many of our sites will require occasional weekend overtime – we will discuss the specific requirements of each role with you during the interview process.

We reward our Mobile Technicians for supporting us to support our customers by offering payment uplift.

• 1.5x base rate
• 2.0x base rate if Sunday or Bank Holiday overtime
