Zenith Group is seeking a Mobile Technician to cover the North-West, travelling to customer sites to service and repair HGVs, trailers and LCVs. The role focuses on fault-finding, diagnostics and proactive maintenance to minimise downtime for clients.

You will inspect engines and electrical systems, perform repairs within agreed timeframes and work with double-deck trailers. A valid driving licence and NVQ3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance are essential.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full valid driving licence.
• Experience in diagnostic repairs and fault finding is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Travel to customer sites across the North-West servicing and repairing HGVs (Trailers, Trucks & LCVs).
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Carry out inspections on engines and electrical components and rectify problems within set timeframes.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to new and used trucks & trailers.
• Work on large double deck trailers (experience with moving decks is crucial).

Our hard-working and highly skilled team of 140+ mobile technicians are the key to the success of our maintenance solution.As a Zenith Mobile Technician covering the North-West , you will be responsible for maintaining fleets of trailers, trucks and LCVs for our customers on their sites, and running defect clinics including minor defects on HGV's. We have a “right first time” approach, valuing quality work and long-term solutions over quick fixes that will cause our customers more downtime in the long run.

The Job

• Travelling to customer sites across the North-West servicing and repairing HGVs (Trailers, Trucks & LCV) in accordance with current legislation.

• Fault-finding and diagnostics.

• Completing inspections on engines and electrical components and rectifying problems within specific timeframes.

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to both new and used trucks & trailers.

• Working on large double deck trailers (experience with moving decks will be crucial).

Essential Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent);

• Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGVs and other commercial vehicles and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle;

• Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding;

• Full valid driving licence

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• A real commitment to delivering first class service and a sense of pride in your work

We know how important it is the have the right tools. The diagnostic and tooling equipment on board our 120+ mobile service fleet is industry leading. We are proud to offer the best equipped vans in the marketplace and to provide allour technicians with Milwaukee Audi Volt Battery powered tooling, Training including Irteccertification, Double Deck certification as well as H&S and new product training.

Overtime

We operate 24/7 at many of our customers sites, meaning there is overtimeopportunities available. Many of our sites will require occasional weekend overtime – we will discuss the specific requirements of each role with you during the interview process. We reward our Mobile Technicians for supporting us to support our customers by offering payment uplift.

• 1.5x base rate for any weekday work over contracted hours & on Saturdays

• 2x base rate Sunday and Bank Holiday (Plus a day back in lieu for working a BH)
