Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting a Mobile HGV Technician in Oldbury. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs at customer sites and roadside locations, with a company van and fuel card provided.

Monday to Friday, no weekend work, with excellent overtime opportunities and a structured training programme for progression. You should have Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, a full UK driving licence, and MOT preparation experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• MOT preparation experience.
• HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs at customer sites and roadside locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete routine inspections, safety checks and MOT preparation work.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns and provide efficient roadside repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working independently in the field.

Mobile HGV Technician

Location: Oldbury

Salary: £42,387 - £45,000 DOE + £1,500 Signing Bonus + Overtime (OTE £50,000)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 4:00pm | No Weekend Work

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to get off the workshop floor and enjoy the variety of a mobile role?

We're recruiting for a skilled Mobile HGV Technician to join a growing team in Oldbury. This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday with no weekend work while benefiting from a company van, fuel card, excellent overtime opportunities and industry-leading training.

What's on Offer:

• Basic salary of £42,387 - £45,000 depending on experience


• OTE of £50,000

The Role:

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair


• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mobile HGV Technician


• MOT preparation experience


• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)


• HGV Licence advantageous but not essential


• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with a proactive approach
