Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Mobile Generator Engineer to cover Essex, with a permanent, full-time contract. You will service, maintain, and repair diesel generators and related equipment at customer sites, using diagnostic skills to identify faults.

The role involves travel across the area, ongoing training and development opportunities, overtime paid at time-and-a-half, a company van and fuel card, and a clear path for long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Experience on diesel generators or similar equipment.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, engines and diagnostics.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites.
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Testing equipment and identifying faults to ensure reliable operation.
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers.
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service.

Mobile Generator Engineer - Essex | £31,000-£41,000 + Overtime + Van

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Generator Engineer to join a well-established business supporting customers across Essex and the surrounding areas. The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Generator Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience working on diesel generators or similar equipment
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, engines and diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable
