Job summary

Sodexo Group in Birmingham is seeking a full-time Mobile Cleaner to travel between sites across Birmingham and the Midlands, performing a variety of cleaning tasks. A Sodexo van is provided to travel between sites as part of the role, with training on health and safety.

You will work independently within a supportive team, maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments at each location.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role.
• Strong communication skills, with clear verbal and written English.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.
• Attention to detail and adherence to data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Travel between different Sodexo sites across Birmingham and the Midlands completing cleaning tasks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchens, meeting rooms, toilets, offices and other areas.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked, including toilet roll, hand soap, sanitiser and wipes.
• Follow health & safety procedures, including infection control, COSHH and PPE use; training provided.
• Work independently while being part of a wider team and report safety concerns to Line Manager.

Please note that this position is subject to an age restriction. Applicants must be aged 25 or over(due to insurance purposes) and able to provide valid photographic identification.

• 40 hours per week
• 5 days out of 7
• 6:00am – 2:30pm
• £12.71per hour

What you’ll do:

• Travel between different Sodexo sites across Birmingham and the Midlands, completing a variety of scheduled cleaning tasks. No two days will be the same.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchens, meeting rooms, toilets, offices and other areas, ensuring every site is clean, safe and welcoming.
• Keep cleaning supplies and consumables fully stocked, including toilet roll, hand soap, sanitiser, blue roll and hand wipes.
• Follow Sodexo’s health and safety procedures, including infection control, COSHH requirements and the correct use of PPE. You’ll receive the training you need to carry out your role safely.
• Work independently while being part of a wider team. Report any safety concerns, faulty equipment or other issues to your Line Manager and be flexible to support different sites and cover holidays or absences when required.

What you bring:

• Experience in a similar cleaning or facilities role, ideally within a corporate office environment.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work independently, use your own initiative and be a supportive team member.
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards and following relevant data protection requirements.
• Must be aged 25 or over, hold a full valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points, and be willing to complete any required training and successfully pass the necessary security checks.
