Job summary

Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions is seeking a Mobile Gas Engineer to diagnose, maintain and repair gas, water, and related electrical systems across a defined post code area. You will perform fault-finding, routine maintenance and installations while liaising with customers and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery.

The role requires Gas Safe registration with CCN1 or CODNCO1, commercial gas modules, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold Domestic and Commercial gas qualifications (CCN1 or CODNCO1) and must be a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Gas Safe commercial modules to include CIGA1, CORT1, CENWAT and TPCP1A.
• Basic Plumbing experience.
• Experience maintaining gas equipment, pipework and hot/cold water systems.
• Fault-finding and diagnostic experience with strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and Gas Safe regulations.
• 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
• Basic IT literacy and confident using digital job management systems.
• Experience completing job certificates in electronic format.
• Full UK manual Driving Licence is required; van provided for area travel.
• Demonstrable experience liaising with customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical diagnosis and solutions for Gas, Water and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance checks, fault-finding, repair and installation duties.
• Liaise with customers and managers to keep everyone informed and aligned.
• Travel across defined postcode areas; work across multiple sites with a company van.
