Job summary

LiveWest is seeking a Gas Engineer to maintain and improve homes across the Bath area. You will diagnose boiler faults, carry out annual servicing, and install new systems as part of a mobile field team.

The role requires a current UK driving licence, relevant gas qualifications, and a commitment to safety and high quality workmanship. The position offers flexible hours and a permanent/fixed-term option, with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Post-Qualification Experience: Proven experience in the gas industry, with a strong understanding of responsive maintenance.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing boiler faults, performing annual servicing, and carrying out installation work.
• Customer Focus: Experience working in customers' homes, demonstrating a professional and positive approach.
• Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• IT Skills: Proficient in the use and application of mobile technology.
• Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LPG and Oil systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair domestic heating systems, including fault-finding, installation, and annual servicing.
• Quality Workmanship: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, complying with building regulations and safety requirements.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate a positive and professional approach to our customers, ensuring the highest standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Maintenance and Testing: Perform periodic testing and installation work, ensuring compliance with current best practices and guidelines.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• On-Call Participation: Take part in an out-of-hours on-call structure and attend meetings and training as required.
