Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Basingstoke and surrounding areas. The role involves servicing and repairing commercial boilers and plant across customer sites within a ~2 hour radius, with a fully expensed company van and a 40-hour week.

You will diagnose faults, conduct maintenance, and manage job records and parts ordering. ACS gas qualifications and a valid driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing commercial boilers and related systems.
• Electrical and electronic fault-finding knowledge relevant to gas equipment.
• A valid driving licence and clear communication skills.
• ACS qualifications covering CCN1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1 and related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, undertake maintenance and repairs, respond to reported gas issues and issue certification.
• Maintain job records and update customers on equipment condition; coordinate parts through purchasing.

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Basingstoke and surrounding areas

£45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + call-out payments | Fully expensed company van

We're recruiting on behalf of an established building services business looking to expand its engineering team.

This mobile role offers varied work across customer sites within approximately two hours of your home, servicing and repairing commercial boilers, heating systems and associated plant.

Hours and package

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Out-of-hours rota: 1 in 5, with standby allowance.
• Fully expensed company van.
• Funded gas qualification renewals and relevant training.
• PPE and specialist tools supplied; engineers provide their own hand tools.
• Pension, death-in-service cover and healthcare cashback scheme.
• 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service to 25 days.

Your responsibilities

• You’ll diagnose faults, undertake maintenance and repairs, respond to reported gas escapes and issue certification. You’ll also maintain job records, update customers on equipment condition and arrange replacement parts through the purchasing process.

What you’ll bring

• A valid driving licence and clear communication skills.
