Job summary

Trevett Project Services is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer for a mobile role covering London and the Home Counties. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial gas installations in university, healthcare, and corporate properties, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, current ACS qualifications, and a full UK driving licence. Local travel to sites with a 08:00–17:00 schedule, plus on-call standby payments and career progression

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Current ACS tickets and gas qualifications essential.
• Strong experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in commercial environments.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Experience with commercial heating systems and plant room equipment.
• Solid understanding of current gas safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across commercial gas installations.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas appliances and plant equipment.
• Fault-finding and diagnostics on commercial heating and gas systems.
• Working on gas boosters, plate heat exchangers, pumps and valves.
• Maintaining ventilation systems and associated controls.
• Carrying out plant room inspections and ensuring equipment operates efficiently.
• Identifying faults and completing repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
• Completing all relevant maintenance documentation and compliance records.

Salary: £60,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Call-Out: 1 in 15 rota (£150 standby payment)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading HVAC and specialist gas services provider, working across a key commercial maintenance contract covering London and the Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established mobile engineering team, maintaining a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including universities, healthcare facilities and corporate buildings.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial gas systems, plant room equipment and associated mechanical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial gas installations.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• All relevant commercial gas qualifications and ACS tickets must be current and in date.
• Strong experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial environments.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.
• Experience working on commercial heating systems and plant room equipment.
• Good understanding of current gas safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Full UK driving licence.
