Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare seeks a Mobile Funeral Arranger to serve Stockport and surrounding areas. The role covers preparation, transport and personal care of the deceased with dignity and safety, while engaging with families and communities to provide exceptional service.

Full training and ongoing support are provided, with a competitive salary, pension, and staff discounts. You’ll travel between locations, using digital tools to manage arrangements and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work confidently on their own and manage a branch when needed.
• Excellent communication skills in writing and verbally.
• Competent numeracy for cash handling, discounts, data entry and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build relationships with the community.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe, and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
• Use digital systems to manage client documents, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to the Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased as trained.
• Update client management applications with accurate records.
