Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Engineer / Field Service Engineer for a nationwide role across the UK. You will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks, material handling equipment and plant machinery using your mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.

The role offers up to £40,000 base, uncapped overtime, a fully equipped company van and nationwide travel on a 45-hour week. You’ll work with a supportive team that values your time and skill.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Mobile Engineer.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence (essential for field-based roles).

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklifts, MHE and plant machinery.
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults.
• Delivering on-site customer service as a Field Service Engineer.
• Managing workload and travel across the UK as an autonomous engineer.

What We're Looking For
