Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd in Chippenham and surrounding areas is recruiting a Mobile Forklift Engineer to service, maintain and repair a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

You will perform LOLER inspections, safety checks and PDIs, and manage your own workload while supporting customers and ensuring compliance. Excellent overtime opportunities and company van are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as forklift/plant/HGV technician or agricultural technician.
• City & Guilds or NVQ qualification desirable.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure equipment remains compliant
• Completing detailed safety checks and pre-delivery inspections (PDI)
• Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Organising and managing your workload and service schedule
• Filling out service reports, job sheets and compliance documentation
• Coordinating with parts departments to source and install correct components

Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Salary: £37,998 - £47,500
Overtime availability: As much as you would like to do!
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, 40hrs
Location: Chippenham and surrounding areas

We're currently recruiting for a Mobile Forklift Engineer in Chippenham working with a family run company who can provide growth and provide hands on support. Due to their increased workload, they are expanding their team!

As a Forklift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
• Completing detailed safety checks and pre-delivery inspections (PDI)
• Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce customer downtime
• Effectively organising and managing your own workload and service schedule
• Accurately filling out service reports, job sheets and all relevant compliance documentation
• Coordinating with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and installed

What We're Looking For

• Experience as aForklift Engineer, Plant Engineer, HGV technician, Agricultural technician
• Knowledge of diesel engines, electrics and hydraulics
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude
• Experience or knowledge ofLOLER inspections(desirable)
• Technical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence

What you'll get in return:

• Basic Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 (dependant on experience)
• OTE: £37,998 - £47,500 (based on 5 hours overtime a week)
• Overtime is paid at 1.5x, with lots available
