Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service a mobile fleet across client sites in the designated area. The role involves road travel, on-site diagnostics, and hands-on maintenance of various heavy vehicles and plant equipment.

You will work from a fully equipped van, handle fault analysis through to repair, and adapt to diverse vehicles including HGVs, gritters, refuse collectors, and cranes. Training on new technologies may be provided.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer.
• Experience on mobile work for agricultural or material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel to client workshops within a designated area.

Field Service Engineer - Mobile Fleet Technician

Are you ready to go on the road and take your technical skills to a dedicated network of customer sites?

If so, then this could be the role for you?

if you have experience working on a mobile basis, maybe Agricultural or Material Handling equipment, then we would like to speak with you.

We are looking for a self motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

• Callouts
• Preventative Maintenance
• Emergency Breakdowns
• Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
• MOT Preparation
• Engine work and diagnostic investigations
• Correction of running defects?
• Chassis and fabrication work?
• Hydraulics and pneumatics?
• Improvement of vehicle standards?
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections?

You will be travelling within a designated area and have use of a fully equipped van.

We require an excellent understanding of vehicle technology, and be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion

In this role, no 2 days will ever be the same and the products that you work on will be diverse. HGV's, Gritters, Refuse Collection Vehicles, Sweepers, Flat Beds and Cherry Pickers.

Your industry is moving faster with every day that passes. Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles are now part of the present and you will be trained on the newest products and repair techniques when required.

A Class 2 Licence would be beneficial.
